I saw this wig scrolling down my Instagram newsfeed and I had to quickly doubletake. I have never seen a more realistic wig in my life, it’s called a 360 lace frontal wig. The post that I saw got so many comments from men calling these new weaves a form of sorcery.
What is a 360 lace frontal wig?
A 360 lace frontal wig is basically a lace headband that recreates the edges of your head so you can wear different hairstyles with your sew in. You might need to wear a lace frontal wig when you want to give your hair a break from the extreme tension of sew-ins or maybe you just want to try something wild, different and crazy.

A quick history lesson about wigs
Wikipedia describes a wig as a head covering made from human hair, animal hair, or synthetic fiber. Wigs are dated as far back as ancient Egypt. Wigs were worn by wealthy Egyptians with beeswax and cones filled with animal fat to give it a special aroma.
There are many different types of wigs in the 21st century with many different names like Brazillian lace frontal and Peruvian loose wave frontal. Just to name a few.
How realistic is too realistic?
Good news ladies, the world is moving away from cheap lace frontals at a fast pace in 2018 and these new lace front weaves with baby hair is causing quite a problem with men trying to figure out if your hair is real or not.
So my question to you, how real is too real? What does your significant other think about the hair you wear?
The hair in the image above is pre-plucked which means it has already been given a natural hairline. Sometimes lace wigs are shipped bulky and unnatural looking with too much density at the top making it look like your grandma’s church wig and you’re left plucking your own lace frontal.
When it’s plucked, the hair at the top is less dense which allows the look and creation of the perfect baby hairs. You can also get pre-plucked frontal hair with bundles or straight bundles.
How to pluck a 360 lace front wig
You want to make sure that you purchase pre plucked wigs but if for some reason you get you 360 frontal unplucked, there are lots of YouTube tutorials that will show you exactly how you can pluck your own wig.

This is why you should get someone professional to install your lace front wig or follow those YouTube tutorials correctly. This is not acceptable to the world, ladies.
